That night Gwydion summoned his enchantment, and from the dust of the ground he brought forth twelve stallions and twelve greyhounds, each of them black but white breasted, and twelve collars and leashes upon them; and twelve saddles on the horses, and any one that saw them would not know but that the workmanship was of gold.
With the horses and the dogs as an exchange for the swine he came to Pryderi. He was deceived and gladly gave Gwydion the swine, taking from him in return the horses and the dogs, for Gwydion had put a spell on the swine so that there were double their number.
Then they took leave and started off with the swine. ÔMy brave lads,Õ said Gwydion, Ôwe should travel in haste. The exchange will last only one day till tomorrow.Õ
